About the List

This is a mailing list for people who were part of the "old" pre-Worldcom UUNET. As a general rule, if you worked for UUNET on or before the last day MFST traded on the NASDAQ (December 31, 1997), you're in. A few of the very early subscribers are post-WCOM and have been grandfathered in. Other post-WCOM employees will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

The list is pretty much free-form. Job announcements, parties, relevant yuks, rumors, lunch get-togethers, etc. are all welcome and encouraged. Just keep it pretty close to on-topic.

Subscribers who are still employed by WorldCom must supply a non-WorldCom mailing address.

If you're not known to the list administrator (Mark Feit), you may get an email requesting your start date. Don't be offended by this, especially if you think this shouldn't be an issue. It's just that the list administrator is getting a little fuzzy in the brain these days.

When signing up, please fill in your name and when you worked for UUNET (i.e., Dave Schmidlapp (1996-2001))
